Chumphon Province:

Chumphon province is located on the Isthmus of Kra which connects the Malay Peninsula with the mainland Thailand. Chumphon province is divided into 8 districts which are further subdivided into 70 communes and 674 villages. Within Chumphon province are two towns, Chumphon and Lang Suan, and 12 townships.

Chumphon has many attractions to entice even the casual visitor. The Namtok Kapo Forest Park is located in Tha Sae district and it is 30 kilometers north of Chumphon town. This beautiful Park has a lush green forest which is ideal for a picnic near the waterfall located within its confines.

Also located in Chumphon is the beautiful and famous beach of Hat Sai Ri. Just north of the beach is the memorial site of HRH Prince Chumphon, who is considered the father of the Royal Thai Navy.
