How do you obtain Thai Residence Permit ?

Application Qualifications:
An applicant must stay in Thailand for at least three consecutive years on a non-immigrant visa. The applicant who has multiple non-immigrant visas is not eligible. Furthermore, the non immigrant visa must be valid at the time of the application.

- Approval of Residence Permit
An applicant may submit the application once a year in December. The applicant should prepare for the document at least 1-2 months prior. The result of the application will usually be announced in May. Thai residency permit will never expire, except it has been revoked. However, if you plnan to leave the country, you need to apply for re-entry permit. After you live in Thailand for ten consecutive years with permanent residence permit, you will be eligible for applying for Thai citizenship.
