Uthai Thani Tourist Attraction :
Namtok Pha Rom Yen
Located in the southern most region of northern Thailand is the beautiful province of Uthai Thani. |
Covering an area of approximately 6,730 square kilometers, Uthai Thani province is one of the rarest unspoiled tourist destinations in the world that is blessed with abundant natural resources such as mountains, reserve forests, waterfalls and river basins. There are several important tourist destinations in Uthai Thani that are worth a visit and one such location is Namtok Pha Rom Yen.
Located in Ban Mai Rom Yen inside Amphoe Ban Rai is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the entire province known as Namtok Pha Rom Yen. The most notable and unique feature of this waterfall is that it is a limestone waterfall falling from the top of a mountain cliff. The height of the waterfall is almost 100 meters. The water falls down from a small stream located at the top of the mountain. It flows in 4 levels and splashes down thereby creating a small lake at the bottom of the mountain. As the water falls down, a layer of mist forms on top of lake, an absolute spectacle to watch. The nearby areas around the falls are bright green in color because of moss and ferns growing on rocks and tree trunks.
The entire environment surrounding the waterfalls is serene and mostly unspoiled by any kind of urban civilization, thereby providing visitors a soothing atmosphere to relax and have fun. One can have a clear glimpse of the waterfall even from the road that passes nearby.
