I've taken the bus. Keep in mind any luggage is an extra charge! They charge for each item

Bus is comfortable. The first window on the right sells the Pattaya tickets. They are not calling customers. Many guys will be calling Pattaya loudly. They are selling mini bus tickets, ignore them. The mini bus is cramped and uncomfortable. The regular bus has plenty of room. It's 2.5-3 hours. The motorbike guys at the station in pattaya have caused problems with bolt drivers in the past. I cross the street to Makro to call a car.

Bus from Ekkamai although slow and often the next departing bus is sold out , you can purchase a ticket for whatever future bus is leaving and wait for it . It is much safer than mini buses as the big bus drivers don't speed at all and also let's you off at north Pattaya bus station which is relatively close to Center Point if it's the one connected to Terminal 21 Another nice alternative is rail link to airport and grab the bus at the airport to pattaya, you're much closer when leaving from the airport

Go downstairs in the airport (assuming you're at Suvanibumi). Go to Gate 8 and get a ticket for the bus. It's cheap and easy. Once you're in Pattaya moto drivers or a baht bus will take you anywhere.

Just go down stairs and get in Taxi rank 1200 baht 1.5 hours, no stopping no sharing and after a long fight who needs the hassle of sharing. If you need money get him to stop somewhere and exchange.
