Short answer for most visitors: go to Counter K at IT Square Laksi Plaza for a tourist extension, and to Building B only for the other services. Division 1 covers Bangkok only, not the airport checkpoints or the ports.
Address and hours

Division 1 is in Building B, South Zone, of the Government Complex, Chaeng Wattana Road, Lak Si District, Bangkok 10210. It opens Monday to Friday, 08.30 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 16.30, and closes on public holidays. Queue tickets are issued 08.30 to 15.30, and Counter K stops at 16.00. Call 0-2141-9889 or the hotline 1178 if you are unsure. For closing days, see the public holidays guide.

Which counter
For a tourist extension, you want Counter K. It also takes extensions for visa exemption, Visa on Arrival and transit stays, and it moved to IT Square Laksi Plaza, 3rd floor, in 2022. The nearest station is Lak Si on the SRT Dark Red Line, Exit 1 or 2.

Counters A and B stay in Building B, 2nd floor. They take the 90-day notification and the TM.30 from a householder or hotel, and their queue closes at 15.30. A business extension in the Non-B category A goes to Counter M. Rules are in the 90-day report guide and the TM.30 guide.
You can also apply online through the e-Extension service, for Bangkok only, at thaiextension.vfsevisa.com. The 90-day notification can be made online 15 days in advance.
Getting there

The office recommends the SRT Dark Red Line to Lak Si Station. Leave through Gate 3, then take a taxi or motorcycle taxi to Building B, Gate 2. Buses 66 and 166 go to the Government Complex. On lines 52 and 150, get off at the CAT Building stop and take a motorcycle taxi or the free shuttle. If you drive, use the parking building at Gate 3.

What to bring and what it costs
For a tourist extension, bring form TM.7, a photograph 4 x 6 cm and your passport with a copy, and apply in person. The extension fee is THB 1,900, and it is not refunded under any circumstances. The full list is in the extension guide.
